Domiciliary Care - Team Leader Office Based
40hrs per week some weekend work included to support business needs
An opportunity for a passionate Care at Home Team Leader has arisen within our busy Straiton branch. This role provides a platform on which to continue personal development however requires you to fully utilise your support and mentorship skills. Operationally you will be a strong leader, supporting and developing a small and dynamic coordinating team.
With experience in the social care sector, you will have a good understanding of relevant guidelines and legislation. You will be able to step in for coordinators should an absence occur and likewise be confident at leading the initial coordination for new contracts awarded to the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and caring individual to really make a difference to the way we shape the delivery and quality of our care service. We are a family run company and have been providing care at home for over 25 years. Our aim is simple, “to provide the highest possible quality of care” that enables our clients to remain in their own homes as independently as possible.
As a testament to the quality of our service we are now the largest care at home provider across Midlothian and West Lothian, we have over 700 clients, and have been selected by Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian councils to provide care at home. The successful applicant will over see services in Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian.
Duties include;
Actively leading and directing operational team
Quality monitoring of care staff
Customer assessments and reviews
Staff reviews
Facilitating team meetings
Participate in on-call
Staff Supervisions and appraisals
Dealing with day to day operational issues that may arise
Supporting induction training
Feeding back issues to Management
Work in partnership with local councils, including social work dept and other professional bodies.
Requirement;
Formal qualification; SVQ Level 2 / 3 or willingness to work towards this
Work experience; minimum of 2 years in a relevant care coordinator role
Must be available to participate in our on-call rota / potential 1 – 2 shifts per month to be negotiated.
Good eye for detail, excellent communications skills, work calmly under pressure and represent the Company in the community
